Conversations Sane People Have in an Insane World, Volume1
Love, Life, and Decisions:
Is it best to know that you can not be with someone, (in a relationship, intimate, etc.) from the onset, or to know you can never be with someone again? The sentence may sound like it echoes itself, but in fact there are two distinct points. I chose John Legend's Heaven as the first song because it best describes how one feels after a single argument, years of pining, or, years of separation. The song is the freshness of a slow painful wound refusing to heal as time promised.
To know that someone is not right, or to know there are so many obstacles to overcome before love can manifest in the way it should, it becomes difficult to make rational decisions. Reason is overcome by emotional curiosity,or drama. Some times, at times, no means yes, rather we would like it to be Opposites Day when we feel like it. The unattainable is a challenge as opposed to a wise limitation. Heeding advice does not satiate the hunger that eventually kills cats, rather there will always be a shadow lurking, proposing, and projecting an alternate reality. Is it healthy to live with that for the rest of one's life? The one that got away before anything could have possibly occurred. My opinion is yes, no matter how many alternate realities, it is a fantasy from which we can escape the misery we create. I say create because although one can not control every situation around them, it is your disposition and goals that allow you to make the best of a shitty situation.
On the other hand, the real torture is that which slowly manifests itself as you mature. Maturation is not as directly related to age as we may project it to be, it has to do with our acceptance of life as the ultimate reality. In this sense, one must accept that the circumstances that occur are a pattern from which we must learn, honestly, as opposed to scapegoating and being ignorant to the ways in which we mitigate our life's occurrences. It is heart-breaking to realize that there is a person, and/or persons, with whom we have reached an end, no matter how much we yearn for the past to be the future. From this point, accepting the grief and the heavy gaping holes in our hearts for the rest of our lives, we begin to mature. To accept that in this life, the one person capable of being wholly loved by your haphazard heart is the person from whom you are the furthest with no possible way to sync your lives back up.
Only time can tell, but the familiarity is that of an old memory in a specific place. You are transformed to a pluperfect past bringing on tactile, aural, and/or olfactory memories, so real they could occur in the present, but they are not. The experience of having a tangible past ages one's emotions. The what if's versus the what happened. I struggle with getting over but not getting pass. Conflicted over the fact that the people I remember do not exist in that same capacity because of the given variable of time.
In any case the answer is to keep moving in a positive direction and take the effort to learn. Life is hard but love is harder. Both are more than worth it when executed with care and responsibility.

The Only Purpose 'Leaked' Music/ Illegal Downloads Serve....
Listen to The Zone 4 remix to Gwen Stefani's Luxurious:
This was a leaked version of the song. The track was made by Polow tha Don for a 'Luxurious' remix, however, Stefani and/or her label rejected the song. As a result Polow was able to shop the song to Fergie WITH Ludacris' verse already on it (hence why it sounds like it fits with Stefani's song so much better). It worked out great for Polow because he scored a couple of more tracks on 'The Dutchess'. Fortunately for me and the few other people I am able to get to listen to the original, the general population missed out on a true gem. Hopefully when you listen to the original version, 'Luxurious Zone 4 remix' you will understand why the Glamorous, ooh flossy flossy sucks major ass. I do not hate Fergie, simply, because I am not out to knock hustles but I am saying, give me a dope track, an outfit from American Apparel and I can probably get a hit as well.
Fergie's Glamorous aka Methalicious

Damn Skippy
In a watered down perspective of my general views on this life I did not ask to live but am ever so proud of spear-heading, I have decided that, yes, I am a material girl, living in a material world. Being a 'civilized' human being sucks sometimes. There are so many contradictions inherent in leading a fulfilled life. We are taught that there is a higher power and this life is meant to be dedicated to this being; we must save for tomorrow, yet live like this was our last day. Specifically in Christianity, which juxtaposes nicely with Capitalism, in America, to suffer is to be selfless and to help those that are less fortunate is a moral duty by which we must abide, all the while taught that we have the unalienable right to pursue our happiness, as Americans. So at this point I just pick and choose and as long as I am happy, I know I am handling my business.
Plus, I like things.

What The Fuck!!!!! Rest In Peace to those Killed by Killer Cops
It is about the not-so covert agendas of unifying the white race over the fear of the empowerment of blacks. Take heed and walk with your God. It is going to be a Hot Summer.

SO...yeah
This is a continuation of a previous blog entry I will be reposting...NO.
I am not into swinging, three-somes or trade-offs. I do not care what you do, in fact I welcome the story with open arms. On the real, it is not my cup of tea.
This is not to say that I am a prude and I will be in Victorian White if someone wants to make an honest woman out of me but...give my black ass a break.
Respect that.
For a great story...

Holleration
Props to Prep for Prep, I do not know if I have ever been this proud to be an alumni in my life. No offense or anything but until last night, if you were a Prep alum that has attempted to pursue a career in the arts there were no tangible resources (this is my own perspective, I spoke to someone in the 'arts' that feels somewhat different). Due to its success I do hope this will be the first of many along this vein. Kamau Patton, contingent VI, was a contributing photographer for the exhibition entitled, "Design and the Elastic Mind" at the Museum of Modern Art, MOMA. If you have not, please do see it, it is only up through May 12 and if you know like I know, Fridays is pay what you wish from 4~8 or 9-ish. Make it happen for yourself.
As I was saying, I went last night for a private viewing. I should have taken more advantage of it, but I was into the provided spirits and the sheer joy of such a groundbreaking initiative Prep has taken on. I digress, yet again.
So, the exhibition....right. "Design and the Elastic Mind" is a very literal title for the show. It is an exhibition of cutting edge scientists trouble shooting the necessary luxuries of 'civilization' as we exponentially accelerate in the 'Information Age'. The great changes we undergo as technology and science makes incredible advances, the contributing designers have conceptual pieces to introduce the lubricant to the aggressive progress we may not be completely ready for. The added bonus was the organic technology. Mind-blowing. I am already planning to go back to get it all in. This piece is just one of reverence. Projection screen of reeds that pollenates and grows about the gallery as human traffic (read: viewing audience) pass by. A huge wall of what looks like leaves. The leaves are solar panels that move up and down as they absorbs light creating wind energy. Word? Yes, word. A street lamp that uses wind energy to emit light at night.
Science is the new art, for all intents and purposes and with function. And, apparently not everyone is retarded as I find myself believing a majority of the time. There is hope for the future, in a general, all encompassing, not really acknowledging the real problems that occur in marginalized communities sort of way. Foresight is not stressed enough, when thinking about any movements, whether its who you are going to fuck or a new drug developed without care for the long term effects; its just something we could all use a little more of.
Go see it....pretty please with sugar on top.

Have you ever almost stabbed the person you woke up next to...
because you did not know who the fuck they were?
Shawty Lo protegee, London, has a new song out called "One 2 Many". The song illustrates the sentiment one feels after having gotten crunk in the club and slid off for some cut. So simple yet poignant, towards the end of the song he croons he will never drink again. How many times have you promised yourself, God, significant others, kidneys, etc. that you will learn how to control yourself when you go out. Just one or two drinks to whet my palette and I am good; or nah I lost my mind and woke up in the staircase and had to go to work in the same clothes as the day before; or even better, trying to assess whether or not you actually had sex because you can not remember anything and your genitalia is not betraying any information to confirm or deny this speculation. This song is for you. It is catchy, decently written, and hopefully, when it comes on in the club, you will pump your brakes and not end up with cum in your eye and a dick in your butt, if that is not your cup of tea, of course.

THE DREAM WANTS TO HEAR YOUR FALSETTO
Let me start off by saying i think the music industry is kinda dull at the moment. There are very few artist than can be labeled consistent, and many artists who just lucked up with a good producer for a great track that's hella catchy and Bingo...A Hit!! (No need to get into names....that could take all damn day...but i'm sure you know who i'm talkin about YAH TRICK YAH ) However, inbetween all the hot messes and all the controversy, you find substancial evidence that someone is actually serious about making quality music for the listener whose ipod consists of throwback 90's music instead of 2008 one hit wonders. The Dream, one of my fav new artists, is buzz worthy and radio heavy with his latest single " Falsetto" . Some may say this track is the modern day " Booty Call" anthem, I would agree. It makes vulgarity seem like whispers of sweet nothings in your ear. I guess a poll isn't needed to be taken on whether or not women prefer Men to be more vulgar and straight forward to the point about what it is he is after or desires. If you have any questions about it fellas, just ask the girl in the middle of the dance floor that throws her hand up in the air when this song comes on and yells out " THIS IS MY FUCKIN SONG" !!!
